Cork Lions Club and University College Cork in association with the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (IMSHOF) and the World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) are proud to present the

Global Open Water Swimming Conference 2013

to take place 11th - 13th October 2013 in Cork/Ireland.

The conference will address topics of sporting, scientific & environmental relevance to Open Water Swimming as well as peer-to-peer reports and presentations from well known and not-so-well-known Open Water Swimmers.

The Conference will open with a reception on the Fridaynight.

And because we all like to swim, Sandycove Island, the home of Open Water Swimming in Cork, will be the back-drop for a swim on the Sunday, weather & safety permitting.

IMSHOF and WOWSA will present their awards to the Class of 2012 in the course of the conference.

Please mark your diaries and pencil in a visit to Cork in October 2013 - it promises to be interesting and great craic.
